find something that he's into. you can even make a sarcastic comment about it on the card about how 'sexy' the gift is (be it a sci-fi dvd set, socket wrench, video game, football jersey, guitar tuner, etc)

I got my girlfriend a spork. Not just any spork... A titanium spork from REI. Her plastic one broke and she hasn't replaced it yet. She is going to love it!!

My husband and I love the outdoors and the night sky. I often purchase things to help with our small adventures, like a nice flashlight, pocket knife, or binoculars. Though this is more for birthdays. I use Valentine's Day as and excuse to bake and consume a cheesecake.
