yah that's pretty mean. I don't know why they would go out of their way to verbalize something they should have kept to themselves. Here are some ways to reinterpret that: 1) certain kinds of guys like certain kinds of looks. Ex: people who wear abercrombie are likely to also like people who abercrombie. But there are lots of people who don't wear abercrombie.... you dig? Lots of people don't find me attractive, I just go for the ones who do and rule out the others. 2) Are you friends with them? Maybe they are trying to enforce friendly boundaries, aka we're friends therefore I don't find you attractive 3) Sex appeal could mean, not the lack of physical attractiveness but rather the lack of imagining of naughtiness. If you are very professional and people have trouble visualizing you "letting loose". Try licking your lips or wiggling more when you walk, displaying very subtle hints that allude to sex. 4) Fortunately for you, looks are one area that can be approved, and because I am assuming you are a woman, you have lots of tricks at your disposal. 5) If you live in La where everybody is a fucking movie star, might be different then if you lived in say, Iowa, or another major city.
