February 4, 5:49PM I have never had a one-night stand. No tales of picking up someone, doing the deed, and never seeing them again. Now that I am engaged, there goes that situation. Did I miss anything? CAN RELATE (1) CAN'T RELATE (2) FLAG FOR ABUSE

It's fun once or twice but you're too far gone to enjoy it now, I think. There's a lot of thrill in the risk and the power, however.

Not missing anything... Anonymous/random sex only suits certain types of people, if you haven't gone there already, you aren't missing a thing. Most sex isn't good until both partners learn about what the other likes, anyway. That doesn't happen between two drunk strangers.

I would say yes, three of my most memorable sexual encounters were one-night stands and there in lies some really great memories.

Almost everybody who went to college wishes they had more sex, except those who suffer negative consequences and wish they had less. I'm married and while I was engaged had the same concerns you do. Sometimes I think I should have had more fun in my 20s, but I am fortunate not to have an incurable infection or a child with someone I don't like.
