If I find him cute or fuckable-- and he's the difference with us women-- I would have fucked him already. The friend in love creeps me out, and disappoints me if we're close. Wish I never knew in every case. Wanting something doesn't make it possible or more likely.

I'd consider my feelings about him and go from there. If I think I may like him back, maybe try going on a date. If not, I'd try to create a bit of distance, stop making comments that could be considered flirty, and hope that he moves on to someone else.

To be honest whenever it happened to me I acted awkward and hoped it would go away. The friendships resumed eventually, but even then I never got 100% comfortable. Fearing encouraging or leading them on. With the longest one it is over 10 years ago.
