Yep- no problems. Occasional heavy periods, but it's fine. No migrating issues like the Mirena.

It was great to not have hormones in me, and not think about BC for 6 years. Sometimes longer guys could feel a little poke, or even scratch, but no big deal. Then I acquired a rare and fatal infection from it that only occurs in women who have not had children. Google " Actinomycosis + IUD "

I have and I hate it. Had it 15 months and it hurts after sex, periods smell really bad, spotting when ovulating. Keep meaning to get it out but it's hard to see the nurse at my practice. I'm goingto try the other coil or the injection instead.

I just got mine taken out and replaced with the IUD with hormones. With the copper one, my period lastest 15 days out of every month and made me smell different in a bad way. The hormonal one is wonderful, though, get that one.

The procedure to put it in was terrible for me. The nurse opened the speculum too fast and too far. It sort of sprained my PC muscle. I couldnt have orgasms for a few weeks afterwards. Im ususally lucky enough to have mutiple orgasms everytime. It took a long time to get my usual orgasms back. I had it taken out because I could feel it sometimes during sex and would have random stabbing pains in my uterus. I used it for a little more than a year.

I love mine. I had the hormonal one previously and it didn't work well for me - lots and lots of gross spotting, break-outs, etc. I've had the copper one for about a year and have had really good luck so far. My periods are somewhat heavier, but for me that's better than spotting all month. No bad side effects at all, at least so far. Good luck!

I love it! Heavier periods, yes. But the tradeoff to be hormone free and never have to think about it is worth it!
