Nerve Dating Confessions

February 2, 1:55AM Did you seriously just get really mean and bitchy over the fact that I didn't cut a piece of cake correctly, in your opinion? We were having a great night when you then lost your shit, making me feel awful with your insults. I feel crushed. You went to bed and when I said "ok then, good night, I love you" you screamed at me another two minutes about how you must not be saying enough things right. FML. Wow, you need to dump this person yesterday.

read between the lines SG. There's more going on than that.... but yes, you two should not be together, clearly.

Huh? You tell me to read between the lines and there is more going on and then agree with my assessment? I fail to see your logic.

OP, reading between the lines, as in her message to you., "I'm unhappy about ________ (which may or may not have anything to do with you), but I'm too emotionally constipated/cowardly/passive aggressive to have a healthy discussion with you about it, so I'm going to pick a fight with you about something trivial to let you know I'm unhappy." Unless she does some serious growing, then the advice above may be your best bet. I had a gf I was very much in love with. When we lived together, we'd sometimes go to the big city and have a great day doing things. She never failed to pick a fight in the car, sometimes only blocks from home, and ruin the whole day. Not once. Thanks, now I'm starting to remember why my better judgment told me not to send her a happy birthday note! I'd say get counseling, or get away. Maybe both.
