@op commented on Jan 16 13 at 8:40 am FLAG FOR ABUSEits called gaslighting, and another 20 something just discovered it in a dictionary and decided it applies to every relationship they ever had. woopdifucking doo. Have you ever stopped to consider that because everyone is unique, they will have an inherently unique perspective - "the truth as I know it", and therefore narrating that perspective and claiming that it is the basis of reality will also be considered gaslighting?... wake up. EVERYTHING IS GASLIGHTING!!! Me describing this opinion could be considered gaslighting by anyone who disagrees, because they will question their view of reality and conclude that any time anything causes them to question reality they've been manipulated. Bullshit. I call bullshit. Only when you live in an age of insecurity and naivity, only when you're a 20 something person struggling to define themselves amidst the changes of your life, does gaslighting seem universally applicable to everything that happens to you. But in objective reality your drama almost certainly lacks the willful deliberate malice you ascribe to it, and can just as easily be explained by saying that you're young and confused and in all likelihood your experiences are analogous to the experiences of the majority of other people in your age bracket.
