January 14, 5:36PM Is it odd for a female to have almost all male friends? I'm in a long term relationship and completely happy in it; I don't flirt or dress slutty. I'm in upper year college classes and it seems as though everybody who I meet and who I would consider my closest friends at school are guys. Thoughts? CAN RELATE (5) CAN'T RELATE (0) FLAG FOR ABUSE

That's normal. Women can be catty with each other, I know a few women that have almost exclusively male friends. Men also get in to pissing contests with each other, which is why most of my friends are women.

Women who can't maintain friendships with women have problems, usually with insecurity and jealously, in my experience.

If you are honest with yourself, you can answer this question yourself. Do you have a lot of male friends out of sheer coincidence or are there other issues that may be lurking under the surface? Do you constantly need male attention to feed your ego even though you're "just friends"? Are you threatened by other girls or do you assume they'll be threatened by you? Have you had close girl friends in the past? If so, are you the type of girl that would hookup with one of your girlfriend's exes or current boyfriends? If none of these apply to you, you may just be the type that likes to hangout with guys, and there's really nothing inherently wrong with that.
