You can't truly be there for someone else before you know how to support yourself emotionally, so I'd say it's good as long as you're not an egomaniac or an asshole. Is it normal? Who cares. Normal is usually the path of least resistance.

If you see everyone else as not worthy, think they are all stupid or if you think you are entitled to special treatment by everyone because you are special, then it is or could be a narsistic personality disorder. Then it is not normal nor healthy.
