The only distinction between a good relationship and a bad relationship is one in which you have the basis of communication and compassion necessary to address the issues that arise and deal with them maturely, rather than compounding them by adding more hurts. One has to distinguish criticism from attack, concern from control, and so on. Its tricky business... but there is no point in feeling bad about yourself, because you still have feelings for someone who hurt you. Don't battle yourself, because you think that your feelings should align perfectly with your rationalizations, because they don't, won't, and never will.
