Nerve Dating Confessions

January 10, 11:13PM I worked with 5th graders today, and they told me I was really pretty. I felt good about myself until they asked me if I was married or had kids. CAN RELATE (5) CAN'T RELATE (2) FLAG FOR ABUSE

They do that. They have no concept of time. They think you're ancient. At 24 I was meeting with some kids between 8 and 11 and when I told them I didn't have kids they didn't believe me. When they asked how old I was and I answered they told me there's no way I couldn't have kids at (the ripe old age of) 24.

No, I'm 35, so it's not exactly the same thing.

So kids are the cutting stone on which you should judge the progression of your life? They're accustomed to social norms and that's it. It's not like they know any better.

Don't feel bad my 5th Grader told me that he wished I was dead to day.
