When I was younger I always felt ugly. My "peers" would even tell me I was ugly. But I liked to make things. I liked to paint and draw and I felt like "Well, I'm not beautiful. But I can make beautiful images and still call them my own. It'll be beauty that is still essentially mine and it'll be better then any naturally beautiful face because I'll have created it consciously through my own effort." So even if you're not a painter or a musician or a poet or what's considered an "artist", you can still create something beautiful. You can create a better world just by doing small acts of kindness. Even just by stopping someone from stepping in poop on the sidewalk. And if you do something like that, you could be the ugliest person in the world and someone will still smile at you and thank you for that little effort that you made.
