Nerve Dating Confessions

January 5, 10:42AM If I met a guy and I don't see potential for anything long-term, I sleep with him on the first date, to have sex, and to get rid of him. If I meet a guy and I do see potential, I make him wait to keep him around. Lately, I don't see potential. Yet, instead of getting rid of them, my sex-on-the-first-date trick seems to make them want to stick around. CAN RELATE (11) CAN'T RELATE (2) FLAG FOR ABUSE

Why is it necessary to sleep with the guy to get rid of him? I've been out with plenty of guys I saw no potential with and what I did was just tell them so, plain and simple. When they would call or text and ask me out for a second date I would just tell them thanks but no thanks. I find straight communication is the best way of getting your point across, and yes you can be straight with someone without being too harsh or hurtful. Maybe just be honest with yourself - you sleep with those guys because you want to, because you enjoy it. And that is ok, there really is no need to use silly excuses like 'I slept with him only to be rid of him'. Why have we women been so shamed and conditioned into believing that we must have an excuse for sleeping with men, that simply being horny and enjoying sex aren't reasons enough? Just own your sexuality, be safe and stop making excuses for it.
