What you perceive as "vaguely in cyberspace", the other person thinks of as "took a big chance, easy to do online because I like him/her too much to be articulate in person." My advice is make your feelings (even your pain) more obvious. You may think your feelings as obvious, but I can guarantee that they are not. The more I like some, the less I can tell if that person likes me back. Good luck.
