I don't care what anyone here says, but whoring is never the answer.

Have some self-respect, love yourself first and foremost, and be your own best friend through the heartache.

It takes time, there is no miracle answer. This kind of pain in life is inevitable, but suffering is optional. Choose to be happy. When the thoughts of heartbreak creep in, recognize that your feeling that, and then push those thoughts aside and focus on something that makes ou happy. Lean on your friends, keep your self occupied. Focus on yourself, immerse yourself in what you want to do. It does take time, but it can work. Know that everything happens for a reason, and it may be hard now, but one day you will look back and see it (go google Steve Jobs' Stanford commencement speech, I find it inspirational) It all sounds cliche, but it can work. I went thru the heartbreak of a 10 yr relationship/marriage abruptly coming to an end this past yr and have recovered. Keep your head up, be positive, you can do it. Sorry for your heart break, good luck.

Yes, sleeping with someone new will just remind you of the person that you just ended a relationship with, you'll compare, etc. Best thing is to throw yourself into work, hobbies,, stay busy.
